The Prince Charlie jacket is perfect worn with a kilt for black tie events, weddings and formal dinners where classic Highland dress is required. It is named after Bonnie Prince Charlie – a romantic figure in Scottish history.
This cropped men’s kilt jacket is beautifully crafted in durable 16oz 100% black barathea wool with black satin facings. It also features many decorative square buttons - three on both cuffs, three on both sides of the jacket front and eight on the back vents.
The jacket cannot be fastened and is always worn with a matching waistcoat or vest - in this case the classic 3 button version. Usually matched with a dress sporran.
A fly plaid can be threaded under the twisted epaulettes.
